Course 100 - 40 hours Basic Mediation

  • Define Collaborative Theories and Concepts.
  • Examine Interest-based, Facilitative Strategies and Techniques.
  • Differentiate negotiation techniques.
  • Practice communication strategies and techniques.
  • Use Collaborative Problem-Solving Strategies.
  • Review conflict and mediation theories.
  • Learn and practice the collaborative mediation process.  
  • Develop a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
  • Learn ethics and statutes that govern mediation practices.
  • Participate in interactive role plays and scenarios relevant to basic mediation practices.
